    A google search only showed results for this issue with SUSE linux. And I also don't see an option anywhere to 'rescan'. I know the drive works because it booted the Smart Start DVD. But I know this disc works, and I ended up trying another one anyway - still didn't work. Our developers need it for some Java program of theirs) and click on the next arrow and it says "Unable to find any valid media, add and choose 'rescan'". So I put in a DVD that we have burned for Windows 2003 Ent Non-R2 SP1 (I know, I know - don't ask. So after a little research I found out the the Gen8 comes packaged with the HP Intelligent Provisioning tool - great! Fire that tool up and I get to the screen where it asks for the Windows DVD. We have a brand new HP ProLiant DL160 Gen8 server, and when I tried to use our standard Smart Start disk it booted up and the Smart Start program said that this model wasn't supported (but it can boot from this disc).
